Max R. Addy, 22, born June 14th, 1992, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 28th. Max is survived by his parents Thomas and Melissa, his brother Cal, his great-grandmother Else Livingston, his grandmothers Charlotte Addy and Yolanda Whipple, his grandfather Lanny Livingston, his uncles Dan, Mitch (Julie), Doug (Jen), Paul (Monica), as well as many, many cousins. He was predeceased by his great-grandfather Raymond Livingston, his grandfather Douglas D. Addy, and his uncle Rick Addy.
Max graduated from Newfield High School in 2010 as an exceptional student athlete and was captain of both the baseball and basketball teams. He earned many honors in both school and athletics.
Max graduated from Ithaca College this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. He played baseball for the Bombers and in 2013 the team finished third in the country after a trip to the College World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Max's most recent passion was to become a third generation line mechanic following in the footsteps of his Dad Tom, his uncle Dougie and his grandfather Douglas. He was attending the Southeast Lineman Training Center in Trenton, Ga. He was one of 15 linemen to receive the "woodwalker" Award out of 200 possible candidates.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday December 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff officiating. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church 113 North Geneva Street. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Max's memory may be made the Newfield Boosters Club.
