Zelaway R. Sawyer, Jr., 84, of Ithaca NY, passed away May 21, 2019. He was born in Gainesville, FL. He was predeceased by parents, Idella & Zelaway R. Sawyer, Sr., brothers Franklin & Xazier, sisters Sandra & Myrtice.
Zelaway is survived by his wife, Lisa; siblings Ira, Csiko, Lois, Jacqueline; many nieces & nephews.

Zelaway was a Chef at Cornell University for over 40 years. He attended classes at the Culinary Institute.
He enjoyed Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues music. In younger years, he played guitar with his brothers in their band the Fabulous Sawyer Boys.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at South Hill Cemetery on Coddington Road Ithaca, NY
