Winifred B. Arnold

Winifred B. Arnold, age 98, died peacefully on October 31, 2016, at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home in Ithaca, NY. Winifred was born on June 22, 1918 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, daughter of Doris Bergeron Wright and Ervin J. Wright.

Winifred grew up in St. Albans, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain. Some of her favorite memories were these childhood memories; skating on the lake in the winter, renting skates for a nickle, swimming in the summer and as a teenager dancing to the sounds of the big bands. Winifred always enjoyed beautiful and well made clothes, high heeled shoes and continued to dance her entire life. Winifred lived most of her life in New York and Pennsylvania, most recently residing in Ithaca near her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Acerra of Ithaca, NY, her son Richard Bushey (Alicia) of Amenia, NY, her daughter-in-law, Ann Bushey of East Greenbush, NY., grandaughter Lisa Saltis (James) of Selkirk, NY, grandaughter Terri Kelleher (Daniel) of Rochester, NY, grandson Alex Acerra of Denver, Colorado, grandson Stephen Acerra of Brooklyn, NY, granddaughter Jacqueline Acerra of Albany, NY, as well as six great grandchildren. Winifred was predeceased recently by her eldest and beloved son, David of East Greenbush, NY.

A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
