William L. Kirk

William L. Kirk passed away peacefully on November, 14 2022 at the age of 84. Bill was born in Lisle, NY in 1938 to Reuben and Dawn Kirk. Bill is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Smith of Ithaca. Bill and Barb were married in 1958 and were married for 59 years. They moved to Trumansburg NY where they raised their 3 children. Michael (Kendra) of Interlaken, Scott (Tina) of Trumansburg,  and Michele (John) of Alpine. Bill was a proud Grandfather of Nichole, Meredith, Brilynn and Tyler and loved to spend time with them playing Scat or watching football. After serving in the Army including a tour in Korea, Bill worked for Cornell University, retiring after 35 years as foreman of the Grounds Department. Bill loved to hunt, fish, and play poker, but to Bill being successful at those things meant spending time with his family while doing them. Bill spent his retirement enjoying time with family, meeting friends for coffee and playing Let it Ride at the nearby casinos. Most recently Bill moved to Juniper Manor where he quickly made a bunch of new friends. Per Bills request no public services will be held.
