Wilbur Earl Tuttle
Wilbur “Earl” Tuttle, 86 of Ithaca, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home. He was born April 5, 1935 and grew up in Trumansburg NY.
Earl is predeceased by his 2 sons, Earl W (Boo) Tuttle Jr, age 43 in 2009 and Frank Tuttle, age 55 in 2012.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Sharron L Tuttle (Lynch), his daughter and son-in-law Kimberly Winter Smalt and Christopher Smalt and his 2 beloved grandchildren, Michael and Morgan Winter. Earl is also survived by his sister Marion Assay, brothers-in-law David (Suzanne) Lynch and Ronald Lynch, sisters-in-law Darlene Lynch, Kathy Lynch (Brian Allis) and Ann Lynch, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Earl was best known as the owner, strong back and scarred hands behind ET Discount. He sold countless railroad ties to the Ithaca and surrounding areas for many years before becoming the “Mayor of Seneca St” as the parking attendant for Tompkins Trust Company and retiring in 2018.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 4 pm at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca with Pastor Dale Ford officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 2 pm.
