Walter Albert Miller

Walter Albert Miller, age 86, of Newfield, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 10, 2025 at home.

Born November 17, 1939 in Ithaca, NY he was the son of the late Walter and Albertine Straight Miller. Albert served in the US Army and was a member of the Patriot Guard. He was a firefighter and past chief of the Ithaca Fire Department and construction worker. In his retirement was a logger, providing many in the community firewood at little to no charge.

Albert is survived by his sons, Albert Miller of North Carolina and Kyle Miller of Millport, NY; his daughter, Renee Vangalder (Joshua); sister, Marilyn (Louis) Albright of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren, Theodore Albert Miller, Lena Brehm, Mathias Brehm, Carson Bates, Julianna Bates, Hawk McRae, and Myrtle Smith. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Anita Miller Post; grandchildren, Ruby Post and Koby Ann Post; and brother, Raymond Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
