Virginia B. White

Virginia (Burgess) White. Born April 24, 1921. Died October 2, 2016.

Predeceased by parents Harry and Clara Burgess, husband Paul White, son Richard, and sister Doris Maybe. Survived by son Harry (Skip) White, daughter-in-law Kathleen, grand children Michael, David, Christina, great grand children Justin, Joshua, Jenna, Jetta, Megan, Orion, Dalton, Cameron, and Benjamin, sister-in-law Elsie Burns, brother- in-law Paul Tremblay, numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews, and great grand nieces.

Ginnie loved to travel. She and Paul married May 1, 1938. Paul entered the Navy in 1943 and they served for 30 years. During their time in the Navy they were stationed at Corpus Christi TX, Norfolk VA, Oak Harbor WA, Barber's Point HI, Memphis TN, Rota Spain, Brunswick ME, and Quonset Point RI. They crossed the USA several times taking advantage of the opportunities to see the sights. She later traveled extensively with Elsie Burns until she entered Lakeside Nursing Home in 2002.

She was a very generous person and supported many charitable organizations. She also loved animals. She shared her home with cats from the time she was young until she entered the nursing home.

There will be a Memorial Service at Trumbull's Corner Community Church presided by Dale Ford at 11:00 AM on November 9, 2016 preceded by calling hours at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the SPCA.
