Virginia I. (Smith) Hine

Virginia I Hine, 88, of Parrish, FL formerly of Newfield, NY passed away on February 27, 2024, in Florida. Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, LaMont Hine Sr. Virginia is survived by a Son LaMont Hine Jr. and Geri McCabe & her daughter Megan McCabe, Daughter Lisa Hine-Hartman, granddaughter Kayla LaRaye Miller, grandson Michael Hartman II & Jessica Thomas, and 6 great grandchildren. Virginia was born in Freeville, NY on May 12, 1935, to the late George H. and Suzie Smith. Ginny was an administrative assistant in the NYS College of Agriculture at Cornell University for over 20 years. Virginia married her husband LaMont in 1953 and their once in a lifetime bond was apparent until the day he transcended. They are now reunited in love, having only been apart just over a year. Virginia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and her family’s hero. She will always be remembered for her love for her family, warm laughter, stylish outfits, and great sense of humor. Services will be held Friday, March 8th, 2024, with calling hours at 10am and funeral to follow at 11 am at Bangs Funeral Home located at 209 W Green St, Ithaca NY 14850. Burial to follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. Celebration of life at Glenwood Pines after the burial. Donations may be sent to the charity of your choice in memory of Virginia Hine.
