Vaughn "Sonny" Dee Stebbins

Born in Sabinsville, PA, raised a family in Ithaca NY and ultimately resided in Massena NY.  A Navy Veteran, retired from Consolidated Natural Gas after 35 years of service, and very active in the Ellis Hollow Community.  Passionate about restoring Model A’s, early V8’s, swap meets, line dancing, and pancake breakfasts.  Uncanny abilities with vegetable gardens, fruit trees, flowers, and foliage.  Widowed in 1991, Mary C. (Casey) Stebbins, he is survived by his children John H. (NC), Vaughn A. (PA), Marianne V. (NY), Catherine E. (CA), and Peter F. (CA); his eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and long time companion Carole Adams of Massena.  Brave through Parkinson’s Disease and grateful for friends and caregivers of Corning Center.  Rest in Peace – God speed the plow.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:00am at Calvary Cemetery, 636 5 Mile Drive, Ithaca, NY.
