Theresa Marie Ciaschi Flacco

Theresa Marie Ciaschi Flacco of Ithaca peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2017. Theresa was born on September 9, 1928 to the late Jack and Susan Leach Ciaschi.

While attending Ithaca High School, Theresa was a waitress at Joe's restaurant where she met the love of her life, Louis Flacco. After graduation she was a secretary at Morris Shulman Furniture until their closing. She then became a travel agent at AAA and retired after 25 years.

Theresa was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, was an avid golfer and bowler and loved watching all sports events especially the Yankees. She was best known for her wonderful cooking and elaborate dinners that she put on for family and friends that she so dearly loved.

Theresa is survived by her children, Lucy (Richard) Hinell, Loretta (Philip) Goss, Michael (Teresa Loveless) Flacco; her grandchildren Lisa (Brandon) Kern, Susan (Marc) DeRoller, Jennifer (Brad) Jump, Ethan Wingenbach and Alexander Flacco; her Great Grandchildren, Christopher Atkinson, Bella and Bree Kern, Emma and Ella DeRoller, Giovanna and Dominic Jump; siblings, Anna Lee Donnelly, Cecelia Stock, sisters in law Carol Ciaschi and Rose Flacco and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents Theresa is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Louis Flacco, sister Rose Lisi and her husband Edward Lisi, brother Anthony Ciaschi and brother in laws Donald Mousaw and Jack Donnelly.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care she received from Longview and Beechtree over the past 4 years.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 4th at 10:00am with Fr. Augustine Chumo officiating at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday December 3rd from 1-3pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa's memory to Immaculate Conception Church or to Hospicare.
