Terry L. June - Daniel

Terry L. June-Daniel, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2025, at his home

in Vestal, NY.

Terry was born on February 27, 1962, in Ithaca, NY, the son of the late Alfred June Sr.

and Freida Fish June. He was also predeceased by his spouse, Wendell B. Daniel, and

two brothers, George and Darryl June and nephew Jeffrey June.

He is survived by his eldest brother, Alfred June Jr., and sister-in-law Doris Kidney June;

his dear nieces; his aunt, Sandy June Maxwell; as well as several great-nieces and

great-nephews and nieces.

Terry was a long-time employee of The Ithaca Journal, where he began as a paperboy

and eventually moved into office roles. He was proud to have been named Employee of

the Month during his time there. After The Ithaca Journal ceased operations, Terry

continued his career with Gannett Paper in Vestal, NY, and held additional part-time

jobs with various companies throughout the years, specializing in book and record

keeping.

Terry loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent together, especially when

cooking meals and getting together for the holidays. He had a special fondness for

animals, birds, and plants. He also enjoyed music, taking long walks, baking, and

spending quiet time in nature.

At the request of his brother Alfred, a small private burial was held. A Celebration of

Life will take place on May 4, 2025, at Stewart Park Pavilion by the playground at

noon to 3:00PM. Please bring a small dish to pass.

In honor of Terry’s love for animals, a donation box will be available at the celebration

for items or food benefiting the local animal shelter. Donations can also be made directly

to the animal shelter of your choice in his honor.

Due to the unexpected nature of Terry’s passing, a separate donation box will be

available at the Celebration of Life to assist the family with final expenses.

Terry was a sweet, fun-loving soul who brought joy and kindness to those around him.

He will be deeply missed and will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
