Tamara Lee Turco Nedrow

Tamara Lee "Tami" Turco Nedrow, 46, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born in Ithaca daughter of Orlando Turco and the late Sharon Harris Turco who died in 1966.

Tami was a member of the Ithaca High School class of 1985 where she was a member of the girl's varsity swim team. She had been the kitchen manager at Kendal at Ithaca and had also been the head cook at Bay View Gardens in Clearwater, FL.

In addition to her father, Orlando Turco, Tami is survived by her husband, Joseph Nedrow; her sister Taralyn Reeves and her brothers, David, Douglas, Scott and Andre Turco. She is also survived by her adopted mother, Ingrid Toner who raised her and her aunt, Donna Kean. In addition to her mother, Tami was also predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Rose Harris and her paternal grandparents, Luigi and Linta Turco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. She will be laid to rest next to her mother at the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. As Tami was a lover of cats, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the cat wing of the Tompkins County SPCA.
