Solon E. Ogden Jr.

Solon "Sol" Ogden, 84, of Brooktondale, passed away at home on Friday July 22, 2016.

Sol was born at home in Elmira, NY, to Solon and Elvira Ogden on January 31, 1932. He retired from Cornell University Plant Science Department after 30 plus years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Marian L. Ogden their son, Solon E. Ogden III and Grandchildren, Damon and Crystal Ogden also nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Cora Belle, Jean Harrington, Ann Park and Julia Lewis.

At Sol's request there will be no calling hours or service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.P.C.A of Tompkins County. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
