Sigrid A. Cicchetti October 6, 2024. Sigrid A. Cicchetti, 92, of Ithaca New York, passed away on Sunday with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ithaca and married her high school sweetheart with whom she spent 60 years. She raised 5 boys and was a dedicated sports mom. Was a Korean War veteran and served as a Teacher’s Aide at Caroline Elementary School. Once her boys grew up, she became a successful restaurateur owning Farmers & Shippers in Ithaca and the Dryden Inn. She loved her work, staff and customers. After retirement from the restaurant business, she enjoyed traveling with Art. Sigrid and Art also loved volunteering at the Immaculate Conception Food Pantry. Sigrid especially loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors: five sons, Arthur Jr (Buzz), Hoosick Falls, NY, Chip, Los Angeles, CA, Matt (Cheryl Gombas), Ithaca, Tony (Lisa), Los Angeles, CA, John, Dallas, TX. Grandchildren: Jamie Ziehm (Eric), Madison Janowski (Dean), Connor Cicchetti, Dominic Cicchetti, Alexa Cicchetti. Great Grandchildren: Cole and Case Ziehm, Payton and Jack Janowski; Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception on October 19th at 10:00am, The family invites you to a reception to celebrate Sigrid’s life at Noon at the Elks on Coddington Road.
