Shirley Ann Sheridan

Shirley Sheridan (Koberstine) passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home of 38 years in Newfield, NY on August 2, 2022. Shirley was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Joseph and Eleanor Dineen on November 27th, 1945. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Sheridan. Her five loving daughters, Janet Dineen, Karen (Dan) Miller, Jennifer (Jared Drake) Dineen, Pamela Dineen, Beth (Chris) Ceracche, adopted daughter Shena (Brian) Washek, along with five caring step-children and her beloved brothers Edward Dineen, Carl (Sue) Dineen, her “grand babies” Christopher (Halley) Miller, Kendrin and Jameson Drake, Julia Weaver, Alexander and Kaitlyn Wilcox and many loved nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her late husband of 45 years, Ralph Koberstine, sisters; Ellen Johnson, Beverly Dineen, Elizabeth Terwilliger, Gwendolyn Dejesus, her brother Joseph “Butch” Dineen and her special niece Mandy Dineen. Shirley was a caring and devoted mother and a grandmother to all her many “kids” she took in as her own throughout the years. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, and going to the track with her husband, Gary. She especially loved watching her Yankees and Buffalo Bills “kick butt”. Shirley loved with her whole heart and would never leave you without a hug & kiss. The world is a lot less brighter without her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 5th at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 West Green St. Ithaca, NY from 4pm-6pm with a funeral service to follow at 6pm.
