Shirley Eaton

Shirley M. Eaton, 74, of Ithaca, NY, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late Raymond and Selma Lintal Poelvoorde and was the widow of Eugene Eaton.

Shirley is survived by her children, Terri Meddaugh, David (Louise) Meddaugh and Lori Grover; her grandchildren, Nichole and Brian (Sarina) Brotherton and Brianna and Justin Meddaugh; her great grandchildren, Brandon, Lavon, Zania and Blake and another great grandson due in July and her beloved dog, Charlie. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Vicki Poelvoorde; her nieces, Tori Poelvoorde and Kelli (Jim) Bonacci; great nephew and great niece, Carter and Gabby; family friend, Carl Parlett and her brother, Randi. In addition to her parents and husband she was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Jamie Brotherton.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 3 to 5 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. Covid-19 protocols (masks and social distancing) must be adhered to. Burial in Frear Memorial Park will be delayed until spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
