Sherry Lea Corbett-Consalvi, 66 of Newfield, NY passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 3, 2021. Daughter of the Late Robert P. and Edith M. Rohrer.
Sherry is survived by; her Husband, Andrew R Consalvi Jr.; her daughters, Shannon Marie Denmark of Newfield, Tracey Lynn Pulido of Myrtle Beach, SC , and Penny Jo Hamilton of Newfield; Her grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Alexis, Atavia, Caleb, Dominic, Hannah, Isaac; Great Grandchildren; Zy’Asia and Zaileon; Brothers Gene (Cindy) Corbett, Chuck Corbett and Rober nephew; Joshua Corbett and two stepsons. She was predeceased by her father Ray Corbett in 1955, first husband Michael L. Hamilton in 2009 and brother in law David B. Consalvi in 2019.
Sherry was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put her family first and will be missed dearly. She enjoyed getting together with friends and family and always had a good time. She enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills, playing euchre and her trips to Myrtle beach. Most of the time you could find her at the Movie theater where she spent most of her free time. Sherry was a stay at home mom to her 3 daughters and provided childcare for many families within the community. Above everything Sherry was a devoted mother to her three girls. She enjoyed being with her daughters as they grew up. Coaching them volunteering and always being involved from softball, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, bowling, girl scouts and school dances to hosting all the community’s kids for overnights. She was known as a second mother to many of their friends and wouldn’t have had it any other way. She was happiest knowing she would always have and need her daughters as they would her. And took pride in raising each one of them the best she knew how. Life will never be the same here on earth without her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Bangs Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Binkewicz officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Newfield. Friends may call from 4-6 pm on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the funeral home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc., 6390 Fly Road, E. Syracuse, NY 13057.
