Sharon Rose (Christopher) Vincent

Sharon Rose (Christopher) Vincent 71 passed away unexpectedly May 5th, 2022, at Rochester General Hospital where she had been recovering from heart surgery.

She was predeceased by her father, Frederick Christopher, her mother, Gloria Christopher, and sister-in-law, Josette Christopher.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Stephen Vincent; her sons, Eric Vincent (Julie Froio), Jason Vincent (Adrienne Nadge) and Stephen (Vanessa Mielke) Vincent Jr; her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored, Tatum Werner and Benjamin Vincent and her “bonus” grandchildren, Dallas, Ava, Amanda, Jacob and Chloe who she loved as her own. Also surviving are her brothers, Gary (Linda) Christopher and Robert Christopher, as well as several extremely special cousins and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all whom she loved with all her heart.

Sharon graduated from Lansing High School in 1968.  She attended TC3’s inaugural class graduating in 1970 with an Associate degree.  She then went on to work at NYSEG for 42 years retiring in 2010.

She loved her family and friends dearly. One of the greatest joys in her life was attending Lansing Sporting events with her husband to cheer on her sons and grandchildren, along with their countless teammates; many of them viewing her as second mom to them. The town and community will never be the same without her.  Sharon was the most loving, kind, caring and genuine person you could ever meet, and she will be sorely missed.

Calling hours will be from 4-6pm Friday May 13th at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca.  Funeral Services will be 10am Saturday May 14th, for family to attend, at Calvary Cemetery, 635 5 Mile Drive, Ithaca.
