Ruth Allen, 58, of Newfield, NY died Wednesday September 4, 2013 at the Hospicare Residence. Born in the Bronx, NY daughter of Barry Golomb and the late Barbara Golomb.
Ruth had worked the last eight years at Oak Hill Manor as a nurse. She was a very active member of the Newfield Fire and Rescue Dept. also a member of the Black Sheep Spinners Guild and very active in knitting.
Survivors include Husband of 38 years David Allen, Daughters: Rachelle and Rebecca (Becky) Allen and Tamara Conover, Son: Ralph Allen, 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, Brother Wesley Golomb.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 10, 2013 at 9:30 AM at Bangs Funeral Home with Michael Faber officiating burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Newfield. Friends may call Monday September 9, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.at Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to either Hospicare or the Newield Fire Rescue Dept.
