Roy H. Lewis

Roy H. Lewis, 70, of Alpine, New York, passed away Thursday,February 13, 2014 at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was the son of the late Perley and Ella Wheeler Lewis. Roy was a veteran of the US Navy and had worked as a bookkeeper for several years at the Race Office Equipment Co. He enjoyed gardening and baking and was a very caring and helpful gentleman.

Roy is survived by his wife, Bonnie Quick Lewis; his daughter, Michelle (Dajuan) Alex

of Danby and his granddaughters, Cherice, Monique, Angelique, Bianca, Cynthia,

Addison and Fynnlie all of Danby. He is also survived by his brothers, John, Jim and Tom Grady all of Vermont; his sister, Barbara Choiniere of South Carolina and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Lewis.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday February 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Ford officiating. There are no callings hours. Private burial will be held at a later date.
