Ronald E. Terwilliger

Ronald E. Terwilliger, age 74, of Newfield, passed away at home on Monday, August 14, 2023 doing what he loved, watching old westerns with his ever present companion Bodha on his lap. Born on December 8, 1948, he was the oldest son of Francis and Mary (Baker) Terwilliger.

Ronald was a master carpenter and craftsman, an avid fisherman, hunter, and tinkerer. He retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America – Local 277.

He was predeceased by his parents, and the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betty) Terwilliger. He is survived by his brothers Gary (Rebecca) and Bruce (Sharon); son Greg English (Briana); a daughter Serena Randall; nieces, Kari, Kelli (Rachel), Jennifer, Pamela, Beth, and Christina; nephews Tim and James; granddaughter Helena; grandson Gabriel; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

There are no calling hours. A burial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield, NY on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Moseley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tompkins County SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.
