Lansing: Ronald F. Norman, Sr., 74, of Lansing, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was born in Lansing, son of the late George and Elizabeth Turcsik Norman.

Ron had owned and operated Ron-Lon Autos of Lansing, NY since 1970. He was a classic car enthusiast and collector and was a member of Car Pride. He was also an avid trap shooter and member of both the Lansing and Groton Rod & Gun Clubs. He was also a member and current Exalted Ruler of the Ithaca ELKS #636.

Ron is survived by his sons, Ronald (Mary Lou) Norman, Jr. and Chris (Tami) Norman; his loving companion of 27 years, Maureen Vastbinder and her daughter, Stacey (Joe) Elegado; and his brothers, John (Chris) Norman, David (Debbie) Norman and Donald (Sheri) Norman. He is also survived by Jimmy Neimi, who he thought of as his third son and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, George and Randy Norman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the ELKS Club. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the ELKS Building Fund, 124 Coddington Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
