Roberta Ann (Armstrong) Prignon

Roberta Ann (Armstrong) Prignon, 71, of Newfield, NY passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Cayuga Medical Center.

Born October 18, 1952 in Binghamton, NY she was the daughter of the late Porter and Lucy Ely Armstrong. Roberta was employed with Morse Chain for 38 years. Following retirement, she worked for 3 years at Newfield Central School. She loved spending time with her family and being in the outdoors.

Roberta is survived by her children, Tina (Hockenberry) Blaasch and Jeffrey (Bonnie Bordenet) Hockenberry; her grandchildren, Timothy (TJ) and Torey Poyer, Justin (Reanna) and Zachary (Rochelle) Blaasch, Andreana (Tyler) Trask and Desiray (Eric) Hockenberry; great grandchildren, Rylie Poyer, Noah and Cirilla Blaasch, Jackson and Kinsley Trask, Juliana and Waylon Silva; brother, Gary (Ginny) Armstrong; sisters in law, Dorothy and Irene Armstrong and Vicki Leigh; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. In addition to her parents, Roberta was predeceased by brothers, David, Roger and Philip Armstrong and sister, Diane (Butch) Ellers.

Services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Peoples Baptist Church, 364 Main St., Newfield, NY with visitation from 1-2 pm followed by a funeral at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newfield Fire Department, 77 Main St., Newfield, NY 14867.
