Robert Patrick "Bobby" Troy

We are heart broken at the loss of our beloved brother, Robert Patrick “Bobby” Troy. Bobby passed

away peacefully on April 2, 2025 in his sleep from an apparent heart issue.

Bobby was born October 5, 1960 in Ithaca, NY to William and Shirley Troy. Bobby was the sixth of eight

siblings. Bobby lived his entire life in Ithaca. He attended Ithaca Schools.

Bobby participated in many sports leagues, including softball and bowling. He was a very active member

of the Moose Club, serving as a past president. He was also a member of the Eagles Club. For years

Bobby participated in the Ithaca Fire Department Volunteer Company and held the position of secretary

and treasurer.

Bobby worked at Morse Chain, the Ithaca City School District, Cayuga Medical Center and Cornell

University. He had only retired from Cornell over a year ago.

Bobby was very out going and enjoyed talking with everyone. He loved our family Sunday dinners and

so many other celebrations!

Bobby took special care of our mom in her final years. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

His smile was quick and he was a very loving brother.

Bobby is survived by his siblings: Anne Barnes (Dave), Mary Bordoni (Tom), Charlene Troy (Chuck), James

Troy (Kelly), Teresa Troy and Lucy Ferrara (Frank) and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand

nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Bill.

Arrangements to memorialize Bobby will be with his family at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted

to Bangs Funeral Home, Ithaca, NY.
