ITHACA – Robert F. Eller, Jr. 75, of Ithaca, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Hospicare Residence in Ithaca, NY. Born on November 1, 1943 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Olga (Cieciezski) Eller, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Padrice Flavelle.
Survivors include his sons, Sean Eller of Danby, NY and Jesse (Diane) Eller of Skaneateles, NY; his sister, Deborah (Jim) Kafura of Binghamton, NY; his brother, Harry (Louise) Eller of Lynchburg, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Throughout his career, Bob held the position of teacher at Alfred College, Master Gardener with Cornell Cooperative Extension, and was a talented independent landscaper. He received his Master’s in Horticulture from Cornell University.
Bob enjoyed hiking, karate, singing and smelling the roses. He also cherished the time that he shared with his granddaughter.
Bob burned bright. We are lucky to have known him. His spirit lives in each of us. And so this world traveler begins another journey. Will we see him again camping, singing a favorite song, or climbing a mountain? Whatever your life brings, enjoy it to the fullest. Be Bob!
