Rebecca Aucoin

Newfield - Rebecca (Becky) N. AuCoin, age 86, passed away at home on Sunday, November 7, 2021, after an extended illness. Becky was born on December 12th, 1934, in NYC, to the late Joseph and Stella Colletti. She completed the 8th grade in NYC Public School PS 59, and she proudly earned her GED while raising her family as a working mother in 1986. She moved to Newfield in 1974 with her family. She was employed at BorgWarner Morse Chain as a Chain Inspector, retiring in 2000 with 18 years of service. Becky enjoyed traveling after retirement to many US locations including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as China, Greece, Italy, the Caribbean, Turkey, Ireland, England, and Mexico, with many friends and family.

Becky was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Newfield Ladybugs, the Newfield Senior Citizens, and was a volunteer with the Immaculate Conception Food Pantry.

Family was everything to Becky and she cherished her time spent with loved ones. She is survived by her daughters Denise (Tom) Robinson, Lansing, NY; Teresa (Neal) Hass, Yorktown, VA; and her son, Joseph AuCoin, Newfield, NY; as well as 12 grandchildren, Allie (Allan) Runions, Matt, Chris, Maria, Hannah, and Natalie Robinson, Callan, Nathan, and Jacob Hass, and Christian, Jillianna, and Zachary AuCoin and their mother Diana Hummel, and siblings Virginia McDonald, Elizabeth Famularo, sisters-in-law Gloria Colletti and Virginia Colletti, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her siblings Mary Agugliaro, Josephine Colletti, James Colletti, Richard Colletti, and the father of her children, Russell AuCoin.

Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Thursday, November 11th, 2021, at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 12th, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church, 113 N. Geneva St., Ithaca, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church
