Raymond L Niles (Les), aged 84,passed away 11/5/24 after a sudden illness. He will be remembered
as a free spirited, fun loving, doting Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He adored his
brothers and sister. He was a devoted husband. Les was a social, vivacious member of the
community. Known for his effervescent spirit and quick wit, he was an inspiration to many.
He retired from Cornell as an Operating Engineer, having played an integral role in the formation of a
union for his work group and secretaries. He was an avid golfer, a Carpenter and a mechanic. He was
proud to have served in the Navy.
Les is predeceased by his sister Sandi and Grandson Anthony. He is survived by his wife Lyn, his
children, Kimberly, Benjamin and Cassandra. His Grandchildren Lydia and Lena (Okoro)and Great
Grandchildren Gavin, Nikola and Raelynn.

A memorial and remembrance service will be held at the Ithaca Elks Lodge #636 on November 24th
at 1:00 pm.
We will cherish our time with him always, and hold him in our hearts forever. Daddy, we miss you.
