Raymond T. Ankrum

Raymond Thomas Ankrum, 45 of Cortland, New York passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

Ray was the son of the late David L Ankrum and loving mother Laura M Langendoerfer Ankrum. He attended Ithaca High School until he reached 11th grade. He played Football and Lacrosse during that time. A bit later in life he met his wife, Winnie who he married in August of 2005. They do not have children, but 3 cats that they have raised and loved together.

Ray has survived by his wife Winnie. His mother, Laura, His Uncle's, John (Donna) Ankrum, Dan (Jackie) Langendoerfer, Richard (Lori) Langendoerfer, Sister Kimberly (Steve) Ankrum as well as all of his other family members, friends and fur babies.

Ray was a character. He loved to joke around with everyone. He felt one of the purposes he had in life was to always make others happy. He never liked seeing anyone sad. He enjoyed watching football, his favorite team was the 49ers. He also enjoyed watching basketball, following the Warriors. He was an avid, XBOX Gamer. He also loved his Mountain Dew. He loved being with his family and friends when he wasn't working hard delivering food to his customers at his job.

Family and friends are invited to call from 6-7 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green Street, Ithaca, New York with a service to follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
