Phillip R. Tichenor

ITHACA – Phillip R. Tichenor, 71, of Ithaca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ithaca, with his daughter at his side.  Born on January 23, 1948 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Richard and Ellen (Eaton) Tichenor.

Phillip enjoyed fishing on Cayuga Lake with his friends, listening to country and bluegrass music and watching old westerns on television.  He was a talented mechanic and was always tinkering with cars.  More than anything, he cherished the time that he shared with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Louise (David) Meddaugh of Trumansburg, Stephanie (Tom) Krmenec of Elkridge, MD; his grandchildren, Justin and Brianna Meddaugh, Sophia and Alex Krmenec; his sisters, Susan (Michael) Kaufman of Nevada, Debbie (Jerry) Kennedy of Odessa, TX, Anita Rowe of Tucson, AZ; and his lifelong friends, Ron “Beaver” Savunen of Spencer and Charles Sinclair.
