Philip Stevens Vangeli

Philip Stevens Vangeli, 72, of Ellis Hollow Rd., passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Hospicare Residence. He was born in Cortland, son of the late Philip and Glenna Stevens Vangeli.

Phil had worked for many years at Morris' Men's Wear. He was a member of the Anabel Taylor Episcopal Community for over 30 years and was an avid coin collector.

Phil is survived by his children; Christine Vangeli (Barbara Johnson), Jeffrey Vangeli (Maria), Phil Vangeli (Robin) and Amy Magdon (Chris O'Brien); his grandchildren, Albert Vangeli, Danica Vangeli, Patrick Magdon and Rachel O'Brien and his sister, Phyllis Andersen-Wendt.

A memorial service will be celebrated by Rev. Clark West on Thursday, April 30th at 11 a.m. at the Anabel Taylor Chapel, Cornell University. Private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil's memory may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
