Philip D. Broadhead

December 6, 1932 — December 18, 2017

Philip D. Broadhead, 85, of Gully Rd., Aurora, NY and formerly of Ithaca, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Arthur and Mabel Crowe Broadhead and was the widower of Joyce Elizabeth Broadhead who died July 10, 2009.

Phil was a graduate of Ithaca High School. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired supervisor with New York State Electric & Gas. He was a life member of the Ithaca Elks Lodge #636 and a member of the American Legion Post #1107, Union Springs, NY.

Phil is survived by his children, Philip A. (Linda) Broadhead, Michael (Mary) Broadhead, Cynthia (John Callahan) Stageman and Amy (Karen Toomey) Broadhead and his grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Christopher, Sean and Cassidy.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 08, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service from 11 am - 1 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home where members of Ithaca Elks Lodge #636 will conduct ritual services at 12:45 pm. Military Honors will be accorded at the Union Springs American Legion, 8 Schobey St., Union Springs, NY on Saturday, June 09, 2018 at 1 pm with a celebration of Phil's life to be held immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walter Conley Post 1107, 8 Schobey St., Union Springs, NY 13160, Attn: 1107 Account.
