Penny Ann Barcklay, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 6th, 2024, in Ithaca, NY, at the age of 62. Born on August 26th, 1961, in Bexar County, Texas, Penny lived a life filled with compassion, laughter, and selflessness.

Penny is survived by her devoted children Christapher McLellen, Erika Abbott, and Kayla Barcklay, and her cherished grandchildren Katie, Linden, and Sammy. She spent most of her life in Idaho before relocating to Ithaca in 2019. Penny was a dedicated Care Support Specialist, touching countless lives with her kindness and empathy.
Beyond her professional life, Penny found joy in spending time with her friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she shared laughter and camaraderie. She found immense happiness in spoiling her grandchildren and capturing precious memories through her passion for photography and crafting scrapbooks.

Known for her unwavering kindness and caring nature, Penny made friends wherever she went. Despite facing life's challenges, she remained a beacon of positivity and warmth, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her sense of humor and love for the uniqueness of life brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Penny's legacy of selflessness and love will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Penny's Life will be held at the Eagles, 161 Cecil Malone Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850 this Sunday April 14th from 3-5pm
