Patricia Beatrice Henry

September 10, 1946 — March 29, 2021

Patricia Beatrice (Phillips) Henry, 74, passed away 03/29/21 at Hospicare Facility in Ithaca, NY after a brief illness.

Patricia was born on September 10, 1946 in Malone, NY to Nelson Phillips and Armenia (Lamica) Phillips. In the 1950’s, her family moved to Cortland, NY where she attended Cortland High School. Patricia worked at Durkee’s Bakery in Cortland during the 1970s and at the Cortland Crescent. Patricia was a stay at home mom during the time her children were school age. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting numerous blankets, sewing Halloween costumes for her children, baking, and playing bingo.

She leaves behind her three daughters who will forever miss her, Kristina M Raigner (Ronald) of Shanks, WV, Kimberley A Nelson (Michael) of Ithaca, NY and Kellie L Post (Robert) of St Louis, MO. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Matthew Henry, Jakob Henry, Shawn Raigner, Tiffany Raigner, Katelyne Nelson, Michaela Nelson, Michael Nelson, Kathlyn Post, and Savannah Post; four great grandchildren Ayden Johnson, Connor Raigner, Brendin Raigner, and Landin Raigner; and three sisters Anna Lineweber of FL, Linda Batsford of AZ, and Geraldine Mowry of Homer, NY.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth L Henry Jr, her parents Nelson and Armenia Phillips, a sister Kathleen Dellow, a brother Gerald “Bucky” Phillips and nephews Brian Batsford, Lane Phillips, Scott Jenney, Nelson Dellow, and Paul Jenney.

Per Patricia’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Her ashes will be interred alongside her son at Cortland Rural Cemetery at a date convenient for the family.

The family would like to thank Cayuga Medical Center and Hospicare of Tompkins County for the wonderful care they provide Patricia during her illness.
