Patricia died peacefully in Cayuga Medical Center on April 27, 2016 in Ithaca at the age of 82. Her brother John Driscoll was there by her side. Pat is survived by John and Winifred Driscoll of Raleigh NC along with their three children and five grandchildren, and sister Diane Driscoll of Syracuse. Preceded in death by her father, Raymond P. Driscoll, her mother Mercedes Cuervo Driscoll and her brother Raymond P. Driscoll, Jr.
A graduate of Ithaca High School, class of 1951 and Keuka College with a degree in Social Work, Syracuse University with a Masters of Philosophy and the University of California at Berkeley with a Master's in Social Work.
Pat began her teaching career at Syracuse University followed by Keuka College and SUNY at Rome/Utica. She moved back to Ithaca where she lived the rest of her life. Pat was a bronze life master bridge player and she loved golf, sailing, tennis, skiing and traveling the world. She served as the first woman board member for the Ithaca Yacht Club, and was an active participant in the Ithaca community including a run for the Town Supervisor.
Pat is loved and remembered for her outlandish sense of humor and love of adventure of all kinds as indicated by the above photo (Pat was explicit in including this photo). She was also a certified clown.
The services for Pat will be held Saturday, May 7th at St.Catherine's of Siena Catholic Church at 1:00 PM. Contributions in Pat's name may be made to St.Catherine's of Siena Memorial Garden or the SPCA of Tompkins County.
