Nicholas Szabo

Nicholas Szabo Sr., age 92 of Ithaca, NY passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at home.

Born December 6, 1931 in Ravazd, Hungary he was the son of the late Paul and Maria Pecsi Szabo. He came to the United States in 1956 and started his family. He retired as the Manager of the Advanced Teaching and Research Laboratory for Physics at Cornell University.

Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Maria Kallai Szabo; his son, Nicholas Szabo Jr. and his sister, Maria Koller and many extended family members.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation from 10-11 am followed by Funeral services at 11 am on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca with Deacon George Kozak officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
