Nelson H. Eddy

Nelson H. Eddy (Tater Seed), of Bostwick Rd., passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. He was born in Ithaca on December 18, 1937, son of the late Clayton and Cecil Howard Eddy.

Nelson leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Jacqueline L. Eddy (Garside); his brother, Alfred Eddy (Mildred); his sister, Arlene Emerson (Kenny). He also leaved behind his three children, Diana Gianetto (Dominick), Nelson A. Eddy (Lucylia) and Rebecca Eddy; his grandchildren Matthew and Brandon Gianetto, Monica Williamson, Kameron and Kianna Eddy and his two great grandchildren, Kevin and Savannah.

Nelson was a passionate dairy farmer for many years. His favorite pastime was his weekly card games with his friends. Nelson created "The Pond", his little part of the world that reflected his passion, ambition and love of nature.

A celebration of Nelson's life will be held this summer and will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
