Vosburgh, Millicent Gordon

Ithaca: Millicent Gordon Vosburgh, 90, died peacefully June 8 at Cayuga Medical Center. A resident of Bridges Cornell Heights, Millicent was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Lee F. Vosburgh, Millicent is survived by her children, Rick Vosburgh (Durham, NC), Lisa Stone (Boston, MA), Brooke Alexander (Wittman, MD), Evan Vosburgh (NYC), Tracy Vosburgh (Ithaca, NY) and Lee Vosburgh (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico); and grandchildren, Matthew (San Francisco) and Ian Ghent (NYC), Jessica (New Haven, CT) and Brendan Vosburgh, 2LT, IN, US Army (Fort Benning, GA), Emily (Punta Gorda, Belize), Michael and Benjamin Stone (Boston, MA), Alexander (Washington, DC) and Elizabeth Frieden (Ithaca, NY). Millicent had a large circle of family and friends and will be missed by many. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was born in Albany and raised her family in Manhasset, Long Island. Millicent lived in NYC prior to moving to Ithaca near her daughter Tracy and son-in-law Peter Potter, who both work at Cornell, and in her short time there made new friends and created a home at Bridges. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the restoration fund for Christ Church, 1355 Northern Blvd. Manhasset, NY 11050. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
