Michael Paul Goodrich, 36, of Iradell Rd., Ithaca, died Sunday, May 24, 2015. He was born in Ithaca, son of R. Michael and Debbie Goodrich of Ithaca who survive him.
Mike was a loving and devoted husband and father. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Krista and sons, Jared Michael and Timothy James of Ithaca; his grandmothers, Shirley Goodrich of Ithaca and Phyllis Pearsall of Trumansburg; his brothers, Josh Goodrich (Alyssa) of Syracuse and Joey Goodrich of Ithaca and his sisters, Melissa Goodrich and Sarah Goodrich (Mike) of Newfield and Sadie Goodrich of Ithaca. Mike is also survived by Nancy and Mark May of Newfield, Denny Bowers of Trumansburg, Sally Bowers of Ithaca and Lois Mikkelsen of Lodi and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Charles Goodrich and Harold Mikkelsen and Harold Bowers.
Mike had worked for several years at Cornell University. He was an avid fan of Syracuse Basketball, Buffalo Bills Football and the New York Rangers. He loved to talk sports and politics and was very active with his son Jared's sports.
Friends may call at Bangs Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's name may be made to Krista Goodrich FBO Jared & Timothy Goodrich, c/o M & T Bank, 118 N. Tioga St., Ithaca, NY 14850.
