It is with great sorrow that the family of Merritt Norton announce the passing of their beloved son,
brother and uncle. Merriitt died on 1/24/2018 from an apparent accidental overdose of prescribed
medica&ons. He is survived and will be forever cherished by his father Patrick Norton, mother Debbie
Norton, sister Kathryn Norton (Dana) and nephew Wesley. He is also survived by extended family
including uncles, aunts, cousins, his paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother who always
referred to Merri? as "my precious boy". He will also be greatly missed by his cat ‘Luna' who he cared for
deeply.
Merri? touched many others with his loving hearth over the course of his 32 years of life. Countless
friends and acquaintances have shared memories of Merri? as a kind, caring, compassionate and gentle
person. A celebra&on of Merriitt's life will be planned by his family. Memorial dona&ons in honor of
Merriitt can made to local mental health or addiction recovery agencies.
