Mary Anne Tozek

Mary Anne (Pelava) Tozek, of Irondequoit, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 . She was born on October 21, 1920, in Sauquoit, NY, and was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Lawrence John Tozek. She is survived by her son Gregory R. Lawrence of Rochester, by Lauren T. Cowdery and her husband William, and by her granddaughter Elizabeth M. Cowdery of Boston, MA.

While Mary lived in Rochester for 70 years, she spent 45 of them traveling frequently to Ithaca, a place which she said made her especially contented. She was an avid reader, and loved gardening, cookouts, pets, and visiting Lake Breeze and Hollenbeck's. She would willingly lend a hand, often seeing what was needed and quietly setting to work without being asked.
