Mary Huff

Mary K. Huff of Ithaca passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024 at Cayuga Medical Center.

Mary was born September 13, 1926 in Duluth, MN, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Krauss. When Mary was three years old  her father moved the family to Willseyville to a farm he bought from a catalog.   A lifelong area resident, she attended Candor schools and was a hard worker from waitressing in her younger years to factory work at Ithaca Gun, Morse Chain and NCR.

She is survived by her children, Marian M. Ridley (Don), Patricia J. Civiletto (James) and Carrie J. Corbin (Gary).  In addition. she is survived by her grandchildren:  Anita Edwards, Stacy Northrup, Karena Kruass, Edward Krauss, Michael Krauss, Melissa Ridley, Keith VanEtten, Melinda VanEtten, Samantha Corbin, Alexandra Williams, Emma Madia and Patrick Callinan as well as many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Huff, her son, Lawrence Michael Kruass (Darlene) and her daughter, Kathy Ann Callinan (Dennis).

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care Mary received while a resident at Beechtree in Ithaca.

There will be no services per Mary’s wishes.
