Mary E. Howard, 91, of Benjamin Hill Rd., Newfield, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was born in West Danby, daughter of the late Joseph and Eunice Dickerman Elliott and was the widow of Asa Paul Howard who died in 1990.
Mary had been a sales associate for Briarwood Antiques and had been an active member of the Wilseyville Baptist Church for many years.
Mary is survived by her grandchildren, Becky (Bob) James, Carol Jensen, Kelly (Mark) Smith and Paul Smith and her great grandchildren, Robert (Elizabeth) James, Jr., Jolie James, Megan and Madeline Smith and Cameron Jensen. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was also predeceased by her daughters, Helen Winters and Donna Lee Smith and her granddaughter, Marcella Winters.
Private burial in South Hill Cemetery will be delayed. There are no public services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 150 N. Albany St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
