Mary Jane Gessini, 85, of Ithaca, died Sunday November 17, 2013 at Oak Hill Manor. Born August 21, 1928 in Tioga, New York Daughter of the late Hiram and Mary P. Osborne Colburn and widow of Macario J. "Gottie" Gessini (10/29/2002).
Mary and her late Husband owned and operated the former Gus' Italian Grocery. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include two sons: Lawrence J. (Penny) Gessini of Clay, New York and Martin J. (Mary) Gessini of Brooktondale, New York, Daughter: Anne Marie Gessini of Seattle, WA. Grandchildren: Thomas, Anthony & Todd Gessini and Jared (Melissa) Marion, also Several Great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also pre-deceased by nine Brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial to be held Thursday November 21, 2013 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff officiating. Friends may call Wednesday November 20, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. in Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to either the S.P.C.A or Catholic Charities. Bangs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
