Mary Zavaski Egbert

Mary Zavaski Egbert, 96, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Beechtree Care Center. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late John and Julia Saka Zavaski and was the widow of Carroll Egbert who died in 2002.

Mary was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School and was retired from the Ithaca Gun Co.

Mary is survived by her brothers, George Zavaski and Robert Zavaski and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was also predeceased by her brothers, Michael, John, Stephen and Joseph and her sister, Ann.

Private graveside services will be held at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception School, 320 W. Buffalo St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
