Mary Jane Drake, 71, of Newfield, passed away at home Wednesday July 22, 2015 following a long battle with Cancer. Mary was born October 17, 1943 daughter of the late Alexander and Lillian (Tillie) Havlik.
She attended. Ithaca High School and TC3 . She was an Administrators Assistance at the Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years. Mary took great pride in her work and was always there to greet you with the twinkle in her eye her devilish smile and her bubbly personality, she made many friends along the way and touched the lives of many. She retired in 2005 and enjoyed spending time with her children, and grandchildren, and all of the many road trips with her sister Alice, ester and nephew Jim. She is survived by her daughter: Jane Hancock, Sons: John and Robert Drake, Grandchildren: Chelsie and Taylor Roscioli, Frank, Dakota, Alexander and Bradley Drake and great grandson Colton Roscioli, Sisters: Alice Vargo, Ester Saunders, Betty McFall, Brother: Roger (Joyce) Vargo, Aunt Mary, Aunt Margaret, Julie Besemer, Lois Park who she loved as her own children, several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. she was pre-deceased by a son Max Drake (2002) and her childrens father Robert Drake (2012).
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday July 30, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Ford Officiating . Friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County.
