Marjorie J. Dobson

Marjorie J. Dobson, 86, of Etna, NY, passed away quietly on February 10, 2014.
Born in Tullynessle, Scotland in 1927, Marjorie is survived by her loving husband
Alan and children Ian, Janet, Graham and Barry and many Grandchildren whom she
adored. She met a dapper Englishman while working as scientist at the Rowett institute.
This led to a 59 year marriage beginning with Marjorie riding on the back of Alan's Vespa
Scooter across Europe. Marjorie was a gentle and kind person, welcoming in many for tea
and Scones. She was an avid gardner and Proponent of human rights. She volunteered for many organizations including Meals on Wheels, Hospicare and taught in the local jail. Marjorie was
renowned in Etna for her soups shared at Etna Community Suppers. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Etna Community Association PO Box 425 Etna, NY 13062 or Hospicare 172 East King Road, Ithaca, New 14850
