Marilyn Reyna Taylert

Marilyn Reyna Taylert, 83, passed away Thursday, April 06, 2017 at the Hospicare Residence. She was born in Ithaca on November 11, 1933, daughter of the late Albert and Martha Brewer Reyna and was the widow of Gerald W. "Jeff" Taylert.

Marilyn had worked for the Cornell University Athletic Department for many years. She was a generous, caring person who always put the welfare of others before her own. She was the core and strength of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn is survived by her loving daughter and grandson, Connie Personius and Timothy Personius; her brother, John McKinney; sister-in-law, Joyce Reyna and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her step father, Wilbur McKinney and her siblings,Virginia Cotterill, Marion Reyna, Marge Gelinas and Albert Reyna.

In keeping with Marilyn's wishes there will be no public services. Private burial will be held at the Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
