Margy Hagin Dillon

d. December 11, 2016

Margy Hagin Dillon, 62, born and raised in Ithaca, NY and longtime resident of Questa, NM, left this world peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was supported by love and surrounded by family.

Born the youngest of 4, into the loving family of George and Marjorie Hagin (both deceased), Margy graduated from Ithaca High School. She met the love of her life, Charles Dillon, while getting her degree in Horticulture at Cornell University. They graduated together in 1976 and married that same year. Charles, her soul mate for 40 years, survives her.

Also surviving are her loving children, Jennifer (Dan) Laabes of Taos, NM and Evan (Samantha) Dillon of Prescott, AZ. Four beloved grandchildren: Amaya and Dillon Laabes, Layla and Liam Dillon. Three older brothers: Tom ( Betty) Hagin, King Ferry, NY, Bob (Jo-An) Hagin, Ithaca, NY and Mike (Cindy) Hagin, Trumansburg, NY. Brother-in-laws, John (Vivian) Dillon, Albuquerque, NM and Rob (Renee ) Dillon, Bloomsberg, PA. Margy was also beloved by a large extended family of 15 nieces and nephews, their children and many cousins.

To know Margy was to love her, and she shared her inner strength and love in return. She tended plants lovingly and caught rain water in the high desert of her home to keep a bit of green lawn going. Her grace and spirit was in tune with all living things. A wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend - Margy will be much missed, and her smile will not be forgotten. Always generous, if there was a need for help of any kind, Margy would be there and took charge.

A service to celebrate her life and spirit will be held Monday, December 19th, from 4-6 at St. James Episcopal Church in Taos, NM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margy's memory may be made to the NPCF (National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation) P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
