Margie Jean Atsedes, beloved daughter to the late Joe and Lois Moore; sister to Marlene Bonanni (Louis) and Joseph Moore; and loving wife to James Atsedes, passed away on September 28, 2021, after a 2 year battle with dementia. She is also survived by daughters, Mary Ellison, Lori Atsedes and Georgette Seay (Tim); son, Timothy James Atsedes; grandkids, Jacob Atsedes, Jordyn Atsedes and Lexie Seay; nieces, Nichole Donohue (Seth), Michelle Stepanok (Alex) and Jackie Miller; nephew, Zachary Moore; close friend, Tina Strain; and inlaws, Joe and Sandy DiGiacomo. In addition to her parents, Margie was predeceased by inlaws, George Atsedes, Iphigenia Tyler and Leon Tyler.
Margie was beautiful in every way. She was a tender, affectionate, compassionate person who loved to serve others. She laughed easily, always worked extremely hard and loved and lived for her kids and grandkids. Margie was an avid flower gardener and never missed a day of feeding her many species of birds. She was a fighter and courageously fought the good fight right to the end, before entering the Kingdom to be with Jesus, free of pain, free of dementia and receiving her glorious reward of everlasting peace in Heaven. Margie had a gift of making everyone, including strangers, feel special; especially while working at Cayuga Medical for 37 years. She always looked like a million dollars, was very free with compliments for others and never boastful. Margie liked celebrating birthdays and holidays to a fault. She and her sister, Marlene, were always the first to clean up while others relaxed, regardless of who hosted an event. Margie and Marlene were inseparable sisters who defined the meaning of unconditional love. Many loved Margie, and many will miss her, but she left us all with loving memories until we’re together again in Jesus’ arms.
