Margaret "Marge" Amato

Margaret “Marge” Amato passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022. Born January 13, 1930, she was the
daughter of the late Antonio Amato and Ida Carrigan. Margaret was predeceased by her foster mother:
Lulu Tarti, sister: Julia Spencer, nephew: Daniel Spencer and dear friend Dorothy O’Dell. She is survived
by her nieces: Janice Thornton (Gerry Angel) and Elicia Spencer, great nieces: Wendy Pierce Carlisle
(Mark Carlisle) and Katie Arthur (Scott Arthur), great nephew: Mark Pierce, great-great niece: Madison
Arthur and great-great nephew: Zachary Arthur.
Margaret worked in local printing businesses for over 30 years; including Wilcox Press, Cayuga Press and
Arnold Printing. Most days she could be seen out and about walking downtown and on Sunday’s she
could always be found watching NASCAR. She loved to travel either by cruising to new destinations or
frequent visits to Niagara Falls.
Funeral services will be held at Bangs Funeral Home on Monday, August 1st at 11:00AM with
entombment following at The Queen of Peace Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
